Karen’s career spans over 25 years in the Human Resources field in leadership and consulting. She has worked for multiple industries, such as healthcare, manufacturing, food and beverage, retail and service, for corporate and small to medium-sized businesses. She has also worked for a number of small businesses in creating the framework for the Human Resources function, which is a serious passion.

For the past two years, Karen has been working as a professional interviewer for Storeyline Resumes helping clients in all stages of their careers, create a resume and brand to achieve their desired career goals. This closely aligns with Karen’s desire to always mentor or coach others to achieve their potential. As a lead faculty member for the University of Phoenix, Karen was instrumental in mentoring new faculty members to the Robinson Township center. She taught many business management and human resource courses, both on ground and online, during her 9 years with the university.

Karen received her associate degree from Robert Morris, then went on as a non-traditional student, to finish her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources at IUP; and completing her Master of Arts in Human Resources/Labor Relations at St Francis University. She later obtained her SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications.

Karen is committed to her craft and has served on a variety of committees for the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association. She is also dedicated to social responsibility as has volunteered for many non-profit organizations. Currently, Karen is serving on the Fundraising Committee for the Northland Public Library Foundation. Karen has also presented workshops at LaRoche College and Penn State University on Interviewing and job search skills to graduating seniors.
