Danielle Mundekis, SHRM-CP

Business Partner

Born and raised in New York City, after graduation from Oberlin College, Danielle was hired as the Admissions Associate/Assistant Director of Admissions for the Ethical Culture Fieldston School. In 2013, she relocated to Pittsburgh to work for Shady Side Academy in the President’s Office, where she helped develop and hone numerous practices and policies, with an emphasis on human resources.

In addition to speaking, training and consulting for organizations across the northeast, Danielle is the Employee Relations & Inclusion Manager for Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott where she is responsible for the diversity, equity and inclusion programming and implementation for all of the Firm’s eleven offices. She also speaks, leads workshops and trainings, and consults independently with various associations and organizations on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Danielle Mundekis holds certificates in Diversity & Inclusion and Advanced Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. She is also a certified Human Resources Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management and as of July 2021 will earn her certification from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations to serve as a certified diversity practitioner.

Danielle has served on the Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Human Resources Department and was chair of their Learning & Professional Development Committee, a role that was responsible for the implementation of training and learning opportunities for over 1,200 members of the Greater Pittsburgh Area. She continues to serve the PHRA as a part of the Membership, Diversity & College Relations Committee and serves as an advisory board member for Disrupt HR Pittsburgh.
