Coach, train, and motivate a team of Inside Sales Representatives; help them reach their sales revenue and profitability goals.

Review and oversee customer account planning for the team.

Create and track both results and activity metrics for the team.

Create/update and monitor processes used by the team members.

Ensure call quality by using phone systems to monitor call activity; utilize side-by-side meetings for same.

Work with other departments to create/maintain/update tools the team uses for their job function.

Create/update outbound program training/coaching materials.

Interact with other sales management and team members to communicate team activities and results.

Actively act as an advocate within the organization for the outbound calling program

Communicate consistently with upper management on the activities and results of the team.

Create a culture of growth and achievement.

Responsible for hiring as well as training and coaching.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics Management, or equivalent preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a group of outbound-calling salespeople, preferably in a telephone environment

  • A proven track record of sales growth is required

  • Must have experience with, and be comfortable using an ERP, Tribute preferred

  • Proficient user of MS Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Experience using a CRM system preferred

  • Industrial products sales experience preferred

  • Occasional business travel, approximately 20%

  • Valid driver’s license.

  •  Knowledge of effective sales processes and how to apply them

  • Ability to manage/motivate a team of salespeople to realize positive results

  • Ability to communicate professionally and clearly, both verbally and in written form

  • Ability to interact with customers in potentially challenging situations

  • Good analytic skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to interpret and act upon complex information

  • Ability to manage individuals performing a very structured job function without creating an oppressive environment

  • Ability to think creatively and out of the box

  • Knowledge of industrial products is preferred

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft office and the ability to perform required computer skills
