Accomplishes law firm human resource strategies, establishing, communicating values and policies, and procedures; manages recruitment, selection, training, disciplinary, and communication programs; and conducts performance appraisals, and establishes compensation strategies.

Collaborates, develops and executes the company's business strategies to attain the goals of the Managing Partner.

Provides strategic advice in executive summary format to Managing Partner so that they will have accurate view of the productivity, metrics and financial goals.

Prepares and implements comprehensive accountability metrics and business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations.

Ensures company policies and processes are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are always followed.

Communicates and maintains trust relationship with direct reports.

Oversees the company's financial performance.

Establishes law firm operational strategies; defining critical metrics, establishing production, productivity, quality, evaluating financial results; defining systems objectives.

Analyzes problematic situations and occurrences and provides executive summary reports to Managing Partner.

Prevents disruptive conflicts by observing and resolving disagreements among specialty groups and between service areas; remaining objective; identifies root causes of internal problems; implements pragmatic solutions; promotes harmonious work relationships.

Provides accountability metrics for legal section practices.


  • BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MS/MA preferred

  • Juris Doctor degree

  • 10 years proven experience as Managing Director or other extensive managerial position

  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans

  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance

  • Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices

  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset

  • Professional attitude with a strong sense of discretion
