Acts as a subject matter expert in Accounting and Finance
Serves as a strong business partner, provides financial insight, guides and assists the company CFO and functional leaders
Maintains and enforces a documented system/controls of accounting policies and procedures
Manages outsourced functions
Oversees the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
Oversees the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures


Ensures that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
Ensures that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable
Ensures that accounts receivable are collected promptly
Process payroll in a timely manner
Ensures that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
Ensures that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
Maintains the chart of accounts
Maintains an orderly accounting filing system
Maintains a system of controls over accounting transactions


Prepares, provides analysis, and approves all financial statements in a timely manner, Including but not limited to: income statements, balance sheets, statement of cash flows, etc.
Coordinates the preparation of the corporate annual report
Recommends benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
Calculates and issues financial and operating metrics
Manages the production of the annual budget and forecasts
Calculates variances from the budget and reports significant issues to management
Provides for a system of management cost reports
Provides financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations


Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university

  • 7-10+ years of accounting experience

  • Computer skills required: Accounting Software; Microsoft Office Suite (Expert level in Excel); ERP Experience preferred

  • Experience leading people, creating a culture of collaboration

  • Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies and guiding investment in people and systems

  • Must have solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills

  • Strong numerical proficiency, organization, good problem-solving skills and excellent use of logic

  • Experience with creating financial statements

  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process

  • Must possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
